Holiday

On holiday in Devon, so no swimming for a week (Roxie didn't appear to mind this very much!). We did try to give her an increasing amount of exercise each day, culminating in a walk into Combe Martin on Friday (about 2 miles each way, with the return journey being all uphill). She was using all four legs, but we were going pretty slowly by the time we got back. The leg was probably a bit stiff in the afternoon, but hasn't shown any ill effects since.

We also did a bit of training, with an attempt at starting recall on the long lead.

Shortly after this she went completely loopy, and, without being called, dashed past me and came to an abrupt, spinning halt when she came to the end of the lead. We still can't let her off the lead, for two reasons; she isn't completely healed yet, and we don't want to risk her running around in an uncontrolled fashion (though she has got pretty close to that even on a lead), and we are still not sure she'll come back.
