A step back

I've noticed that Roxie's left hock seems to have a lump. Sharon came in last week to discuss how/when she'll be coming back after her maternity leave, so I asked her to have a look at it. She thought the pin was probably working its way out, but what we do about it will depend on whether the bone has fused (i.e. whether the pin is now redundant). If further surgery is needed, Sharon wants to come in and operate herself if possible ... which is nice of her, and good news for us.

We've now x-rayed Roxie's leg, and Justin and Fiona have looked at the x-rays, but don't know enough about the operation that Sharon did to feel happy making any decisions based on what they can see, so I've left a message for Sharon asking for her opinion.
